Mai jos găsiți o listă a resturilor de supernăvă descoperite în Galaxie. Sursa informațiilor este catalogul: A Catalogue of Galactic Supernova Remnants, D. A. Green, Astrophysics Group, Cavendish Laboratory, 19 J. J. Thomson Avenue, Cambridge CB3 0HE, UNITED KINGDOM.
Lista conține 274 de resturi de supernvă, aranjate în ordinea depărtării de Soare. După cum veți vedea se cunosc distanțele doar până la câteva asemenea obiecte.
Tabel cu resturi de supernovă
Explicația coloanelor:
- rest de suprnovă- numărul de catalog obiectului
- alte nume - alte nume ale obiectului
- ascensie dreaptă - una din coordonatele ecuatoriale de pe cer (un fel de longitudine pe cer); se măsoară în ore, minute și secunde
- declinație - una din coordonatele ecuatoriale de pe cer (un fel de latitudine pe cer); se măsoară în grade, minute și secunde (°, ', ")
- diametru aparent - mărimea unghiulară aparentă, în minute de arc (un grad are 60 de minute de arc)
- distanță - depărtarea obiectului de noi în ani lumină (un an lumină = 9.460.000.000.000 km); distanțele până la resturile de supernovă sunt greu de măsurat, cele din tabel fiind estimări;
